Background & Mission

Muslim Community of North Dublin (MCND) is based in Dublin 15, in the Republic of Ireland. Our mission is to serve the religious needs of the Muslim community
The majority of our current activities are taking place at the Coolmine Musalla, in Coolmine Industrial Estate, which comprises two rooms – one being used as a prayer room for men while the other for women. Each of the two rooms is approximately 70 meters squared.

This premises is being rented from the main lease holder of the Industrial Unit. Within these two rooms, the 5 daily prayers and Ramadan night prayers are observed, as well as study circles, lectures, meetings and other activities. Friday Prayer and Eid Prayers usually take place in the main hall of Hartstown community centre that is rented on a weekly basis. However, there have been numerous occasions where Friday and Eid Prayers could not take place in this location due to public holidays and clashes with other bookings. By acquiring our own mosque, we will not face these challenges in the future. Among the activities we are organising include:

❖ Daily congregational prayers
❖ Friday prayer (approximately 250-300 attendees)
❖ Eid prayers, celebrations and activities
❖ Ramadan activities (Taraweeh & Iftar).
❖ Organising dawah activities for Muslims and non-Muslims.
❖ Promote education by providing classes in Islamic studies and Qur’an as well as other social and cultural activities in the Muslim community.
❖ Cooperating with other similar charity bodies on beneficial causes.

Our Board Of Directors:

This year Annual General meeting of Muslim Community of North Dublin (MCND) was held on 02 March 2024 in Westmanstown Sports & Conference Centre Dublin 15 and new Directors were elected according to the Constitution of MCND. MCND Board of Directors comprises of  the following Directors for this year.
